When Bob Young first started the Steuben Striders in 1973, his mission was to provide fun, positive sporting activities to the children of the Ohio Valley. The Steuben Striders Track Club has carried on his mission since his passing and promises to do so each summer.

Season Schedule

Who

• Athletes between the ages of 5-18 can compete
  • Athletes who are 4 years old must turn 5 by Dec 31st of this year to be eligible
  • Athletes who are 18 but turn 19 by Dec 31st of this year cannot compete
• $30 per athlete
• Payable in Card, Cash, or Check made out to, "Steuben Striders Track Club"​

What

• We have 4 areas in which athletes are able to compete: Sprints, Distance, Hurdles, and Field
• Athletes are able to compete in just one group, or, they can mix their events
• Here is a list of the events in which athletes are able to compete:​
• Sprints: 50m Dash (5-6 only), 100m Dash (5+), 100m & 110 Hurdles (11+), 200m Dash (7+), 400m Dash (7+)
• Distance: 400m Dash (7+), 800m Run (7+), 1600m Run (7+), 3200m Run (9+)
• Field Events: Long Jump (5+), Softball Throw (5-6 only), Shot Put (7+), Discus (9+), High Jump (11+)​

When

• We practice every Tuesday and Thursday from 6-8pm
• ​We hold three home meets and provide information to other local meets for our athletes to compete in

• The Steuben Striders Track Club is located at Harding Track. 2002 Sunset Blvd, Steubenville, Ohio 43952
